Author: Matt Manochio

I enjoy writing. I have four novels and one novella under my belt. I was born in New Jersey, graduated from Roxbury High School in 1993, and from the University of Delaware in 1997. I worked as a copy editor at the Anderson (S.C.) Independent-Mail from 1997 to 1998, and as a newspaper reporter for the Daily Record in Morris County, N.J., from 1999 to 2011. While I won both South Carolina and New Jersey Press Association awards for my work at both places, the absolute highlight of my journalistic life was meeting and interviewing AC/DC's Brian Johnson for USA Today in 2011. It is my hope to use this blog to, among other things, discuss the publishing process as I experience it.

It’s a slog. I don’t know how authors manage 1,000-page books.

4,000 Words this weekend!

I hit the 20,000 mark in my WIP. I usually shoot for 90,000 to hit the 300-page mark. But it’s not a requirement. Just a goal. And most importantly, I had fun doing it.
